Lord of the Rings Online - Book 10 Update

August 21st saw the release of Book 10: The City of Kings, the second free content update to the massively popular online roleplaying game. Highlights include newly customizable UI, new reputation and bartering systems, the latter being akin to WoW’s pvp reward system, where you trade trophies for special items, the introduction of the Ranger of the North and Troll into monster play, and over 100 new quests. D&D 4th Edition Announced @ Gen-Con

Wizards of the Coast is announcing at GenCon today that it will release the 4th Edition of its category-leading Dungeons and Dragon roleplaying game in 2008, the first full new edition in eight years.  The three core books will be released next summer on a monthly schedule:  Player’s Handbook in May, Monster Manual in June, and Dungeon Master’s Guide in July.  Pricing and page counts of the new products will be consistent with current packaging.  Graphics have been updated, art will be used on the covers, and interior design has been opened up to make the books less intimidating to new players.

Web Comic Review

Hey gang,

 The rust monster crew has been a bit busy with RL lately, so the updates have been coming rather slowly. In an effort to turn things around I’m goign to let you all delve into a bit of what I’ve been doing as of late. As I gear up to run the next campaign I’ve been bouncing all over the web reading different Web Comics. Nothing sparks my own sense of creativity than a bit of escapism.

 Web comics are nothing new ofcourse but I havn’t really paid them much attention in the past. With a Midnight shift job though I find I have plenty of free time to browse the internet in the wee hours of the evening. So here are a few of my favorite Web Comics, in no particular order.
